Position: Payroll and Credit Officer
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum (pro-rata)
Schedule: Flexible hours Monday to Friday, 25 hours per week expected 0.625 FTE
Expected Start Date: January 2025

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised Payroll and Credit Officer that matches our values to join our team in Lancaster.
This role will require working closely with the organisation's wider finance and operations team to ensure accurate processing of payroll throughout the FGH Group, whilst also supporting the credit control function for the business.
You will be expected to make full use of your Personal Learning and Development Fund to expand your skills and will be actively supported in this. Full study support for CIPP qualification will be available.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the set-up of in-house payroll function.
- Manage the end-to-end process of all payrolls within the FGH Group.
- Accurate and timely processing of payroll including salaries, zero-hour employees, bonuses, deductions and other compensation related payments.
- Calculate payroll taxes, NI contributions and other statutory deductions in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Manage the credit control process.
- Collect outstanding debt and ensure that overdue balances are kept to a minimum, improving debtor days through proactive engagement with external clients.

- Excellent planning and organisational skills, to prioritise and deliver tasks to deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong team player with good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others.
- Strong communication skills, with confidence in both internal and external interactions.
- Willingness to learn and undertake formal training.
- Experience with end-to-end payroll process.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Good technical knowledge of statutory payments, pension/auto-enrolment, and manual calculations.
Desired Skills:
- AR/Credit Control experience.
