Salary: £34,650 per annum

Location: Lancaster Office - White Cross Industrial Estate, Alston House, Lancaster LA1 4XQ (with some travelling to other sites)

We are currently seeking a new HR Business Partners who champion our values to join our team in Lancaster.
This position will report to the Head of People in a newly established HR team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop HR Officers through coaching and mentoring.
- Providing expert HR advice and guidance to managers and team members on HR matters, supporting managers in dealing with complex casework, performance, attendance and employee relations issues.
- Providing advice and guidance to Managers on employment matters; influencing management and the leadership around the people agenda to maximise service performance.
- Work with Head of People and Shared Services team identifying HR priorities from corporate and departmental plans, translating business requirements into effective HR practices and delivering people solutions aligned to business objectives.
- Delivering key HR initiatives across the HR spectrum, including policy change, restructuring, resourcing, employee relations, employee engagement and performance management.
- Maintaining a clear understanding and providing up to date knowledge of the legal framework within which HR operates; in line with current legislation and keeping abreast of modern HR procedures and best practice.
- Ensuring the smooth running of working parties to facilitate the delivery of HR policies, projects and initiatives.
- Monitoring and supporting HR activity to ensure the terms of the HR SLA are being met.
- Maintain strict confidentiality.
- Address HR related continuity issues.
- Undertaking other duties commensurate with the requirements of the role.
Qualifications
Skills and experience required
- Three years’ experience in a HR role that holds accountability.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of employment law, HR policies and procedures.
- Strong track record of coaching managers in HR best practice.
- Knowledge of Employment Law relating to both Workers and Employees.
- Experience of working in partnership with a range of stakeholders including managers, employees and external partners.
- Experience of managing conflict and sensitive issues and achieving positive outcomes.
- Experience of developing and managing change projects and programmes.
- Experience of delivering strategic priorities within strict timelines.
- Experience of coaching and supporting team members within the People Department.
- Experience of leading and shaping work with others from different professional backgrounds to achieve organisation priorities.
