Security Night Duty Manager

Position: Security Night Duty Manager

Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 Per Annum

Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday (45 hours per week)

FGH Security is looking for a new Duty Manager to join our New West End Company team in London.

The NWEC team provides hi visibility patrols to one of the most prestigious shopping districts in the world and our team play an integral role in the safety and security of over 600 member businesses and stakeholders. As well as this, our overarching mission is keeping safe the 1 million visitors to the area daily.

The new Duty Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of 13 officers, including supervisors and K9 team.

Main Duties

• Manage a team of 13 Security Officers and K9 handlers providing visible, proactive street-based patrols
• Coordinate your team to deliver excellent and approachable customer service and support to all customers and members
• Develop an excellent understanding of NWEC member businesses in the area.
• Working alongside local police, council, and outreach services and encouraging team involvement with joint working operations.
• Ensure that all team members keep an accurate record of any incidents that occur on patch via the Synapse reporting system
• Responsible for daily team briefings and end of shift handover reports for the overnight team
• Communicate with local businesses and NWEC members during incident response
• Escalation of any incidents/occurrences to the appropriate NWEC/FGH management teams
• Ability to assess a situation using good communication skills and in a professional manner
• Undertake any required training at the request of FGH or NWEC and as required for the role
• Crowd control/people management – foot traffic direction, escorting guests off patch, temporally detaining guests prior to police handover, maintaining order, subdue anti-social behaviour
• Monitor and report any suspicious behaviour/take appropriate action

Licences/ Qualifications Required

• A valid SIA Door Supervision Licence
• First Aid Training (EFAW)
• ACT Awareness Training

• Experience of leading a security team in a similar environment
• Excellent leadership skills
• Good knowledge of the local area (West End)
• Excellent customer management skills and an ability to support multiple stakeholders
