Hourly Rate: £16.55 - £18.55* (*hourly rate inclusive of holiday pay)

Winter Wonderland opens to the public on 14th November, offering world-class attractions, entertainment, food, drinks, and festive fun — and you’ll be at the heart of making sure it all runs safely and smoothly.
As a Security Zone Manager, you will play a key leadership role overseeing security teams within your allocated area, ensuring high standards of safety, professionalism and service are delivered at all times. You’ll be responsible for managing team members, supporting their development, and working closely with event partners to maintain a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and coordinating a team of Security Supervisors and Security Officers within your allocated zone.
- Acting as the main point of contact between your zone and Event Control, ensuring effective communication and escalation of information.
- Responding swiftly and appropriately to incidents, coordinating your team’s actions, and liaising with emergency services if required.
- Overseeing team welfare, ensuring team members are supported, motivated, and operating at their best.
- Conducting regular briefings, debriefs, and performance checks within your zone.
- Maintaining a visible leadership presence across your area, setting standards and ensuring procedures are followed.
- Delivering proactive and approachable customer service to enhance visitor experience.
- Overseeing access control, including team, contractors, and visitor entry points.
- Supervising perimeter patrols to identify risks and maintain safety.
- Managing gates and checkpoints, including searches (body and bag) and supporting the crowd management team with ticket validation and wayfinding.
- Monitoring and reporting suspicious behaviour, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks.
- Ensuring accurate reporting and recording of incidents, patrols, and interventions.
- Maintaining order, protecting event assets, and preventing losses.
- Working collaboratively with the crowd management team to ensure all crowd safety plans are adhered to.
Requirements:
- SIA Door Supervision Licence.
- Management experience in event security.
- Passionate about Keeping People Safe.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Keen eye for detail and the ability to stay vigilant to security risks.
- Ability to confidently de-escalate and resolve difficult conflict situations.
